Allen Cadwallader Jones (b. 1811), Cadwallader Jones' older brother, was from Hillsborough, NC. He entered the University in 1827, was a member of the Philanthropic Society, and graduated in 1831. He moved to Eutaw, AL, and became a planter, a member of the Alabama legislature, and a colonel in the Confederate army.
